Meaningful Work and Continuous Growth

One of the things I appreciate most about working at ComputerTalk is that I’ve always felt that the work I do is valued and appreciated. It’s rewarding to know that my contributions make a difference, and that the effort I put into my work is recognized by both my colleagues and the company.

There is also never really a dull moment. I’m constantly busy and exposed to new challenges, technologies, and situations that give me opportunities to learn and grow. Even after being here for 28 years, I continue to encounter things that challenge me to think differently and expand my knowledge. That variety has played a big part in keeping my work interesting and helping me develop professionally. As an application developer, our work is project based—which means I've been exposed to many different industries/sectors (Government, Banking, Utilities, etc...). Each project affords me the opportunity to learn a little bit about how these different sectors operate. But also, from an internal perspective, I develop, I support/troubleshoot, I design, I train others—I've travelled.

The People Make the Difference

Another thing that stands out to me is the support from my coworkers. When a difficult problem comes up, there is always someone willing to share their knowledge, offer another perspective, or work through the problem with you. It creates a great sense of teamwork—you don’t feel like you’re expected to figure everything out on your own. Everyone brings different experiences and strengths to the table, and we learn from each other.

For me, that combination of meaningful work, continuous learning, and supportive colleagues is what makes ComputerTalk a great place to build a career. I’ve been able to take on new challenges, develop my skills, and grow professionally while working alongside people who genuinely want to see each other succeed.
